With recent statistics showing that families with children are more likely to purchase wearable tech and twice more likely to purchase a 3D printer in the next year than non-parents, the International Consumer Electronics Show is planning a special FamilyTech Summit at the 2015 show Jan. 7.

Presented by Living in Digital Times, the day-long conference will cover digital's impact on the home and today's families and kids. Morning conference sessions are devoted to kids with the afternoon focusing on families.

“Families are highly motivated to use technology to make their lives more manageable and to stay connected with each other,” says Robin Raskin, founder and chief executive officer, Living in Digital Times. “This year’s crop of products that combine technologies like Bluetooth, mobile devices and long-life battery lives are making it easier for families to manage everything from cooking their dinner to monitoring the safety of their home with tech-enhanced products.”

In addition to learning about new health, beauty and wearables for the family at the conference, attendees will also get a look at what's in store for the year in tech on the CES show floor.

Also, featured throughout the show will be MommyTech TV, produced by media personality and technology expert Andrea Smith, who will be reporting on CES technology from a women’s point of view.
