"Sustainability and success are becoming almost interchangeable for business and something that all brands will have to embrace in the future," says Helena Mansell-Stopher, founder and chief executive officer, Products of Change, which is sponsoring the award. "That's why we are extremely pleased to be partnering with The B&LLAs' team to showcase the progress and innovations of the brand and licensing industry within the space of sustainability and inspire others to take that first step."
Entries can be for a single product or range of any type. It can involve collaborations, but a brand license (non-entertainment) must be part of it. The product or range must have been on sale or visible in the U.K. between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2021, though it can have had a presence elsewhere in the world, too. Products/ranges can be entered into this
"It's been encouraging to see how the brand licensing industry has risen to the challenge of becoming more sustainable – in both its products and its practices," says Ian Hyder, joint managing director, Max Publishing, which owns and organizes The B&LLAs. "This award will honor the steps which have already been taken, showcasing the innovation and commitment within the licensing community to the issue of sustainability, as well as inspiring and encouraging others."
Like the other B&LLAs 2022 categories, entry for The Sustainability Brand Licensed Range is free of charge. The deadline for entries and nominations into all categories is March 8. The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2022 will take place on April 27 at Hilton Park Lane in London.
