Kids Preferred Unveils 2013 Lines

U.S. plush toy manufacturer Kids Preferred is rolling out a slew of new products for properties including The World of Eric Carle, Goodnight Moon and Shaun the Sheep.

In a partnership managed by The Joester Loria Group, Kids Preferred is adding a variety of new toys to its The World of Eric Carle collection for 2013. New additions include an attachable mirrors, plush, playmats, pillows, soft books, bath sets, rattles, pull-back characters, toys and bookends featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other characters from the consummate children’s author.

“Eric’s stories of imagination and exploration have already captivated the hearts and minds of kids and parents across the globe, so we are thrilled to introduce even more of his amazing products for 2013,” says Laura Perks, vice president of marketing, Kids Preferred. “These wonderful and beautiful toys open up new worlds of creativity and curiosity for kids of all ages.”

The company has also added to its line for another classic children’s publishing property, Goodnight Moon. New products include developmental plush, chimes, a projector, kids utensils and melamine toys.

In a new partnership, Kids Preferred has launched a line of plush featuring the characters of Aardman Animations’ animated series, “Shaun the Sheep.” The line includes Shaun the Sheep plush in three sizes, as well as a Timmy the Lamb plush.

Kids Preferred has also introduced two new plush singing dolls modeled after typical Latin American grandparents to help Hispanic families preserve their musical traditions. The Baby Abuelita dolls sing a selection of traditional Spanish lullabies including “Duérmete mi niña,” “Tengo una vaca lechera” and “Los pollitos dicen.”

Finally, Kids Preferred is adding to its collection based on the Amazing Baby line of books. Designed to help babies as they develop their senses, new additions to the collection include rattles, mirrors, playsets, wooden vehicles and puzzles, a wood shape shorter and textured flash cards featuring nursery rhymes.
