Finalists for the 2014 Licensing Awards in the product, retail and marketing communication categories have been unveiled. (Finalists in the property category will be announced by the end of the month.)

The winners in all four categories will be revealed at the annual Licensing Awards event Sept. 16 at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

The finalists are:

PRODUCT AWARDS

Close to 5,000 licensed products were entered into the product category this year. The judging panel was comprised of nearly 100 retail buyers from stores including Toys 'R' Us, Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Next, The Entertainer, Waterstones, Asda and Mothercare.

For this award category, a panel of marketing and promotions experts judged the entries, which must demonstrate strong partnerships forged between licensed properties and key FMCG brands.

The finalists in the Retailer Award category were decided as a result of an online nomination process involving manufacturers, suppliers and importers of licensed products. The results were then validated by a panel of industry experts.
