Fashion retailer Tilly’s has partnered with the High School Esports League to provide scholarships and mobile game competitions to gamers.

HSEL partners with faculty sponsors and student leaders to run Esports tournaments across multiple game titles for high school competitors. The group provides Esports scholarships to tournament winners and students interested in pursuing a career in the industry.

The HSEL partnership will see Tilly's offer students’ gaming care packages and the chance to compete for prizes through augmented reality mobile game’s at company stores. Tilly's will also contribute $10,000 to HSEL’s scholarship prize pool to help provide young Esports athletes funds for college expenses.

“HSEL harnesses students’ passion for games and gives them a chance to compete with friends at school, with teacher support and even the chance to get recruited by colleges,” said Mason Mullineaux, co-founder and chief executive officer, HSEL. “Tilly’s understands how big of a deal that can be to today’s high school gamers, and they’re stepping up in a big way to give students even more reasons to compete.”
