Sequential Brands Group has closed the sale of the Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse brands for approximately $175 million.

The deal with Marquee Group was announced in April. Sequential’s decision to sell the brands was spurred on by a renewed focus on the company’s active and fashion brands. Sequential believes the transaction will help it better streamline business and provide greater flexibility.
