The deal comes in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of “SpongeBob SquarePants.” Both colors in the collaboration are inspired by characters from the classic series. SpongeBob Yellow is meant to mirror the color of the show’s eponymous animated character, and Patrick Star Pink will match with the color of his trusty sidekick.
New colors will be used by a variety of artists for their own interpretations of the “SpongeBob” character. Artists taking part in the process include Romero Britto, Jon Burgerman, Christian Tamondong and Ronald Ventura.
