Ludorum has signed agreements for its pre-school property Chuggington in Spain in partnership with local licensing agent, Biplano. Chuggington launched on Spain’s TVE1 platform last year, and the new, fully translated Chuggington website launched in Spain in January.
Random House will publish Spain’s first line of Chuggington story, activity, pop-up and novelty books this May with a retail promotion in Carrefour. Big Picture will release the first Chuggington DVD titles in Spain, available this September. Other new licensees in Spain include Munecas Saica (outdoor toys and sporting goods), Artesania Cerda (fashion bags, accessories and footwear) and Trudeau (melamine). Global Master Toy partner, Learning Curve, will launch its Chuggington die-cast toy line in May and its interactive range will follow in September.
