Spiffy Pictures taps HiHat Media and 9 Story Media Group for new PBS kids' series.

Spiffy Pictures has appointed HiHat Media and 9 Story Media to represent its new series “Nature Cat” for U.S. licensing and international distribution.

HiHat Media will handle brand licensing in the U.S. while 9 Story Media will handle international distribution and consumer products rights outside of the U.S.

As part of the partnership, both partners will develop a comprehensive consumer product platform to inspire children to go outdoors and develop connections with the natural world.

“We are excited to work with HiHat and 9 Story to extend ‘Nature Cat’s’ mission into a range of consumer products that will spark curiosity and inspire children to connect with the world around them,” says Scott Scornavacco, vice president, business affairs, Spiffy Pictures. “We are looking forward to seeing the show’s action-packed adventures, discovery moments and humor come to life in fun, kid-friendly products.”

“Nature Cat” is a new series co-produced by Spiffy Pictures and WTTW Chicago and follows the adventures of Nature Cat–a house cat with no instincts for nature–as he discovers the world around him once his owner’s leave for the day. It airs twice daily on PBS stations across the U.S.
