The iRacing Pro Invitational Series will feature Christopher Bell, Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. The series comes as all NASCAR races have been postponed through the May 3 Cup race due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Until we have cars back on track, the entire NASCAR community has aligned to provide our passionate fans with a unique, fun and competitive experience on race day,” Ben Kennedy, vice president, racing development, NASCAR, says in a statement sent to
NBC Sports. “Our long-time partners at iRacing offer an incredible product and we are excited to see how many of our best drivers will stack up in the virtual domain of competitive racing.”
The multi-week series will begin March 22 on the virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway. Other race and broadcast details are to be announced at a later time.
