The Means, creator of the original Fart Knocker and owner of the U.S. patent for sound chip door knockers, has announced a licensing deal with Mighty Mojo Toys.

The deal was brokered by The Brand Liaison’s special products licensing division.

“We are always on the look-out for unique patented products that we can bring to the market through licensing,” says Steven Heller, president, The Brand Liaison.  “As soon as I saw the original Fart Knocker and learned of the patent, we immediately went to work expanding the concepts and seeking licensing partners. We selected Mighty Mojo Toys because of their design and production skills as well as their ability to sell products at both traditional brick and mortar and direct e-commerce.”

The two will launch a full line of decorative sound chip door knockers, with up to seven customized sounds activated by the lifting of the lever. The Mighty Mojo Toys Sound Knockers will launch this holiday season with a line of customized Halloween and Christmas designs. For Halloween, this includes skulls, witches, ghosts and pumpkins with laughter, screams, chains and “trick or treat.” Several Christmas designs with Santa, wreaths, reindeer and festive holiday music will also be released. Mighty Mojo Toys is also looking at branded Halloween properties and retail exclusives.

“We are thrilled to partner with such a creative inventor and this unique product” says Caryl Liebmann, vice president, licensing, Mighty Mojo Toys.  “We are working on some very cool designs that we plan to launch in time for Halloween this year.”

The Brand Liaison will continue to expand the line of offerings for the patented sound chip door knockers including adding unique collaborations and other licenses including character and entertainment licensing and sports licensing.
