With a combined 35 years of licensing experience, two industry professionals have created a new consulting firm Ideaologie.

The two founders, John Mavrakis and Melissa Schulz created Ideaologie to leverage their strengths in strategy, branding, licensing, business, marketing and creative services.

Unlike a traditional consulting firm, Ideaologie will study each company holistically, reviewing the architecture and archeology of the client’s business to ensure the best outcome for the company and the company brand.

Mavrakis and Schulz have worked with a roster of top clients over the years, including brands such as Disney, Harry Potter, Nickelodeon, Hallmark and American Greetings, and companies such as Target, Lowe’s, Barnes & Noble and Hard Rock Café.

“On the licensing side of our business, we have the unique perspective of navigating and negotiating, since we’ve worked on both sides of the fence, with both the brands and manufacturing,” says Mavrakis. “Our specialty has been in the world of

brand building and licensing, but that doesn’t prohibit us to any field or profession.”
