Copenhagen-based licensing agency the Ink Group and media development firm Global New Age Media, headquartered in Dubai, have merged to create the new company Ink ALC.

The new agency will bring the licensing services of both companies together, offering clients access to more than 1 billion consumers across three regions. The new company will primarily serve the Russia CIS, MENA and SEA regions, as well as the Nordics.

“Individually Ink and GNAM have been pioneers within the licensing industry, focusing successfully on the potential of many fast-growing economies," says Claus Tømming, managing partner, Ink ALC. "Combining their licensing expertise will greatly enhance the possibilities for growth and innovation across the 1 billion-strong consumer base these companies serve.”

Together, Ink and GNAM have more 20 years of experience in the licensing business, across both established and emerging markets. The new agency will offer a full slate of services, from media development and sales, through to brand extensions and product manufacturing. Copenhagen will be the administrative hub of the combined company, while local and regional offices will focus on sales, marketing and client relations.

“This is a timely and exceptionally beneficial partnership, not just for the companies involved but for their clients, present and future, who will be able to access industry-leading expertise and experience across multiple markets from one source,” says Fayez Weiss Al Sabbagh, chairman, Ink ALC.
