With “Hey Duggee” on Clan, a children’s TV channel from Spanish public broadcaster TVE, since it first aired in Oct. 2020, BBC Studios is expanding its licensing footprint in the region further with Ypsilon Licensing.

Ypsilon Licensing, a joint venture between Ypsilon Films and Multitrade Group, has already secured a master toy partner in Bizak; marking the first time “Hey Duggee” toys will be available in the region.

Bizak’s “Hey Duggee” toys and plush will be sourced from U.K. master toy partner Golden Bear and launched in Spain this fall.

“We are thrilled to see how quickly ‘Hey Duggee’ has become a hit with the Spanish audience and feel confident that the launch of licensed toy and plush in the market will help propel the popularity of show to the next level,” says Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager, BBC Studios.

"We are excited with the success of ‘Hey Duggee’ in Spain. We are working closely with all parties involved to build the brand strategy and we are confident in the potential of such an iconic property on a long-term basis," says Isaac Anidjar, sales manager, partner, Ypsilon and Multitrade Group.

This move into Spain follows BBC Studios’ extension of “Hey Duggee” to France with France TV Distribution as licensing agent and products coming from Lansay (master toy partner), Jemini (plush, furniture and melamine), Ravensburger (puzzles and early learning games), Milan (magazines) and Hachette (books).
