A collaboration brokered by Italian agency Maurizio Distefano Licensing, between the Gapchinska brand and Malia Edizioni, has won the Best Licensed Publishing Project at the Bologna Licensing Awards. The Property of the Year award was won by Bing, also managed by MDL in Italy.

The deal saw Malia Edizioni create a new line called Vite Imperfette (or Imperfect Life), which includes a range of homewares and stationery including notebooks, bookmarks, travel mugs, pocketbooks and magnets.

“The collaboration with Malia Edizioni shows the true diversity of the Gapchinski property and we are thrilled that it has been recognized with this award,” says Maurizio Distefano, founder and president, Maurizio Distefano Licensing. “The collection is unique and appeals to a wide age range, from youngsters to adults. It’s a real honor to have been recognized by the Bologna Awards for two of our brands.”
