Padoin and Goutzoulas

Entertainment One Licensing continues to expand internationally with the opening of its new office in Melbourne that will serve as eOne's Australian headquarters for all operations across its licensing business.

New hires Con Goutzoulas and Trish Padoin will helm the Australia operations in their new roles as commercial directors. Goutzoulas and Padoin will manage the consumer products program for Peppa Pig, which is currently one of the leading preschool brands in Australia with more than 50 licensees covering multiple categories. As joint directors, both will also oversee all facets of the Australian licensing business, with Goutzoulas managing licensing, sales and finance, and Padoin heading up retail, marketing and product development.

The pair will work to ensure a seamless transition of the existing Australian consumer products business from licensing agent Merchantwise to eOne Licensing Australia with all existing licensees, partners and retailers over the course of the next two months. They will also work closely with the eOne team in the U.K. to execute an integrated marketing strategy.

“The opening of an Australian office heralds an exciting time for the business as we look to build on the huge growth opportunities that this territory presents,” says Andrew Carley, head of global licensing, eOne. “Given the incredible success that Peppa has achieved in Australia to-date, it’s important that we have a dedicated team on the ground to manage the next stage of the licensing strategy and develop the other brands in our portfolio. Both Con and Trish have a strong industry reputation and undisputed knowledge of the market that will drive our brands forward in this region, and we look forward to exploring new opportunities with them on board.”

Goutzoulas and Padoin join the company with a track record in the licensing industry, each bringing more than 15 years of experience to their roles and extensive knowledge of the local market.

Goutzoulas joins from Haven Licensing, where he managed the Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central portfolio. Prior, he worked at Merchantwise and Gaffney International.

Padoin has significant brand management and marketing expertise, particularly with preschool brands, having worked at Mattel, where she was responsible for launching Fisher-Price and Hot Wheels consumer products, in addition to Merchantwise and Gaffney International.
