Entertainment One has appointed Planeta Junior as the licensing agent for Disney's upcoming film The BFG in Spain.

Planeta Junior will help expand and strengthen the film’s merchandise program in the region.

Entertainment One has appointed Planeta Junior as the licensing agent for Disney's upcoming film The BFG in Spain.

Planeta Junior will help strengthen the movie’s consumer products program in Spain as well as increase retail exposure and distribution in the country for eOne’s lineup of U.K. and European licensees including Blues (leisurewear), Kinnerton (chocolate), Ravensburger (puzzles), Character World (bedding) and more. The Spanish agent will also support global merchandise deals with Funko, That Company Called If and WETA.

Additionally, Planeta Junior will be seeking new licensees for the Spanish market in the gifting, toy, home, stationery and apparel categories.

Striker Entertainment is the global licensing agent for The BFG and has been working in collaboration with eOne, which is handling the brand in Europe.

The BFG was adapted from Roald Dahl’s children book of the same name, which was first published in 1982. Steven Spielberg’s adaption will premiere in Spain, July 8.
