Entertainment One has acquired a 65 percent interest in David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe’s production company Renegade 83.

Renegade 83, which launched in 1994, is behind shows such as “Naked & Afraid,” “Fat to Fit,” “4400,” “Kennedy Detail” and more. The company will build on eOne’s unscripted production activities in the North American market, as well as continue to focus on creating programming for networks, cable and first-run syndication, which eOne will manage and control globally.

Garfinkle and Renfroe will continue to lead Renegade 83 as co-presidents and chief executive officers.
