Cirque du Soleil, Kraft Dinner, IMAX also named as some of the country’s most iconic brands.
The list highlights 150 companies and brands that “help to shape and define the Canadian experience,” and a host of organizations active in brand licensing were featured on this list, including:
- BlackBerry
- Cirque du Soleil
- Corus Entertainment
- IMAX
- Kraft Dinner
- Lionsgate
- Lululemon Athletics
- MAC Cosmetics
- Royal Canadian Mint
- Spin Master
- Tim Hortons
- Toronto Maple Leafs
Brands were nominated by Canadians themselves and then selected by Interbrand based on a number of criteria including brand clarity, engagement and authenticity.
“Brands become iconic when they build a deep emotional connection with people’s values and beliefs, and become inextricably woven into their lives,” says Carolyn Ray, managing director, Interbrand Canada. “This doesn’t happen by accident.
