Acquisition of Gullane complete

Hit Entertainment successfully completed its acquisition of Gullane Entertainment on August 30 for £139m. The deal creates one of the world's leading entertainment studios and brings Thomas the Tank Engine under the same roof as Bob the Builder and Barney. Hit Entertainment's acquisition also includes Gullane brands such as Art Attack, Guinness World Records and the new preschool offering Yoko! Jakamoto! Toto! Hit Entertainment acquired US based Lyrick Studios, the home of Barney, in 2001 and now ranks as a world leader in pre-school programming. This latest acquisition builds an enlarged company worth £500m.
