Toys ‘R’ Us Asia is set to open 60 new stores in 2019, according to RetailDive.com.

The stores will open mostly in China, as the market that has experienced the most growth, as indicated by Jo Hall, chief commercial officer, greater China and Southeast Asia, TRU, told by the South China Morning Post.

Toys ‘R’ Us currently operates 550 stores in the region and 182 in China. The company is looking to expand into Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia The company's Asian operation was sold to a group of investment firms and Fung Retailing for $760 million last year.

A bankruptcy court approved the deal mid-December.
