Furniture Brands has nailed down a deal with Xcel Brands to create a line of home furniture under the Xcel-owned Isaac Mizrahi brand.

Furniture Brands plans to release the collection of Home Isaac Mizrahi furniture in its Thomasville stores and at better department stores in spring 2014.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with Xcel Brands and its Isaac Mizrahi brand. This collection will bring a colorful yet classic home presentation to the marketplace. We cannot wait to reveal the collection in spring 2014," says Kathy Veltri, president, Thomasville Furniture.

Fashion designer Mizrahi, best known for his lifestyle apparel extensions, also currently has a deal with QVC and has collaborated with Target in the past. Xcel brands acquired the Isaac Mizrahi brand in 2011.
