Alessi has teamed with UNStudio again for a new kids’ collection after forming their relationship in 2001.

“When you design a product for adults, you concentrate on its functionality and how to couple that with its materiality, aesthetic and spatial qualities,” says Ben van Berkel, founder and principal architect, UNStudio. “But something else happens when you design for children: different, more playful ideas start to rise to the surface, because you start to approach the design through the mind of a child.”

The collection includes a hybrid seat, a three-piece cutlery set and sustainable tablewear all designed by UNStudio. It is UNStuido’s first venture into children’s products.

The collection is available now.
