Continuing its successful partnership with online interiors brand, Surface View, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced the launch of a new collection of flora- and fauna-themed prints that can be used for decorating children’s bedrooms and play areas.
The prints are based on specially created designs from the RHS children’s style guide, inspired by artwork from the RHS Lindley Collections of botanical art. The Surface View service allows the prints based on the designs to be customized, cropped and scaled to customers’ exact specifications to illustrate a wide range of home interior products, from murals, canvases and wall hangings to ceramic tiles and much more.
There are three collections in the Surface View RHS children’s range: the I Bug You collection, full of insect-inspired imagery; Flower Power, a collection of patterns and floral placements and Trees & Leaves, which again takes its inspiration from nature with foliage and woodland prints.
The new prints join the existing Surface View RHS collections for the adult market including Floral Illustrations & Studies, Gardens and Fruit and Vegetable Illustrations & Studies, again inspired by the RHS Lindley Collections.
The Surface View offering was launched when the company’s founders realized that vintage etchings and prints could be customized using modern technology to provide interior decoration to create wallpaper murals, ceramic tiles, blinds, art canvases, art prints, wall hangings and more.
Customers simply select a product, specify the finish, choose an image, then zoom, crop and customize dimensions for a unique, made-to-measure product. The items are manufactured in the U.K. and delivered globally.
“Once again the vast store of delightful RHS botanical artwork has inspired some truly glorious additions to the Surface View catalog,” says a Surface View spokesperson. “These three collections make excellent use of the RHS Children’s Style Guide; I am certain that these fun, colorful prints will delight children everywhere.”
“The Surface View concept is simple but extremely effective,” says Cathy Snow, licensing manager, RHS. “It also makes wonderful use of the RHS Children’s Style Guide to produce collections that are colorful and fun and that also aims to inspire a love of gardens and nature.”
All three collections are available now at the Surface View website.
