Jewel Branding and Licensing has brokered a deal between Finnish heritage brand Finlayson and wallpaper manufacturer York Wallcoverings for a new collection of wallpaper featuring design elements originating from Scandinavia. The collection was planned for an early 2020 debut, which coincides with Finlayson’s 200th  anniversary.

JBL, Finlayson’s licensing agency in North America, brokered the partnership and secured the rights to represent the Finlayson brand in all categories in the U.S. and Canada for an additional three years.

“We are thrilled about our new collection of Nordic inspired wallpaper with Finlayson,” says PJ Delaye, president, RoomMates. “The minimal, fresh aesthetic signature to the Scandinavian culture is a thriving trend that continues to be in high-demand as we enter 2020.”

York Wallcoverings launched a new collection of Finlayson brand peel and stick wallpaper under its RoomMates brand, featuring patterns inspired by a blend of nature and Nordic minimalism. Included in the collection are neutral and pastel-toned florals, leaves and plant patterns. The peel-and-stick Finlayson wallpaper can be removed and repositioned on walls throughout the home.

“We are so excited for our brand to touch the lives of so many Americans,” says Tiina Mikkonen, export director, Finlayson. “By partnering with York Wallcoverings, we can introduce the simplicity and natural elements of Scandinavian lifestyle to people on a much larger scale.”
