Plush toy manufacturer Gund has launched its first-ever line of home textiles.

The company has partnered with textiles company Heritage Home Fashions to develop a full line of Gund- and babyGund-branded bedding, blankets and bath products under license.

“We are eager for consumers to get the same quality and softness from their baby bedding and towels that they expect from our plush toys,” says Bruce Raiffe, president, Gund. “Now a child gets to spend more time with our characters throughout the day, from tummy time to bath time to bed time.”

At launch the line includes plush hooded towels for babies and toddlers inspired by top-selling Gund characters, cotton crib sheets, bath towel ensembles, swaddle blankets and stroller blankets.

“We saw an opportunity in the market to develop kids and baby home textiles that combined quality, affordability and character, making GUND the perfect partner for us,” says Natanya Khazzam, vice president, Heritage Home Fashions.
