“When I think of Oscar de la Renta my mind immediately travels to the gardens he has created, his love of flowers, his sense of romance, and how this has influenced his collections and his houses,” says Carolina Irving, creative director, Oscar de la Renta Home. “This collaboration is such a natural extension of who Oscar is and his great passion for gardens.”

The 20-piece collection features prints and engravings from rare 18th and 19th century botanical books that were selected personally by Oscar de la Renta.

The Oscar de la Renta for The New York Botanical Garden line will be available later this month at Oscar de la Renta boutiques, select retail locations, the New York Botanical Garden’s shop and both brands’ websites.

The partnership was brokered by Jewel Branding & Licensing, agent for The New York Botanical Garden.

"The New York Botanical Garden’s partnership

with Oscar de la Renta represents an ideal pairing of sensibilities, melding historical elegance and contemporary design,” says Richard Pickett, vice president, retail and business development, The New York Botanical Garden. “Oscar de la Renta’s application of images from rare books in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library showcases the time-honored beauty of botanical artwork in a fresh and vibrant way.”
