HIT Entertainment has signed a raft of new publishing and home entertainment licensees for its preschool property Mike the Knight, covering a range of European territories.

New European publishing licensees for Mike the Knight include:

  • Memphis Belle–storybooks, annuals and novelty board books in Benelux;

  • Hemma–coloring and activity books in Benelux;

  • MSZ–all format books and a monthly magazine in Poland, Romania and Hungary; and

  • Buster Nordic–all format books in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

German licensing agent SuperRTL has also secured new publishing partners in that country, including Panini for kindergarten books, sticker books and a magazine; Egmont for story books and activity books; and Nelson/Carlson for early reading books, magnet books, large format picture books and mini books.

New home entertainment DVD partners include Lusomundo (Portugal), Cass (Poland), Svensk Filmindustri (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark), OTC (Benelux) and Sony Music (Germany).

Co-produced with Corus Entertainment's Nelvana Studio, “Mike the Knight” is a CGI series that follows the prince of Glendragon who is determined to follow in his father's footsteps and become a brave and noble knight.
