Perth Mint Flips New Coin Deals with ‘Star Trek,’ ‘The Simpsons’

New coins will feature Homer Simpson and the Starfleet Command Emblem.

Australia’s Perth Mint has announced new commemorative coins featuring iconic imagery from “The Simpsons” and “Star Trek.”

The deal will see coins minted featuring Homer Simpson and the Starfleet Command Emblem. Coins are scheduled to be released next year in both single coin and set collections.

“The Simpsons” coin will feature Homer grinning in front of his workplace, Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. The 2020 half-ounce Silver Colored Coin will come packaged within themed card packaging.

Perth Mint’s “Star Trek” coin will feature the United Federation of Planets’ Starfleet Command Emblem on a three-ounce Silver Holey Dollar. The limited coin will be subject to a mintage of just 1,000 and come as part of a Delta Coin set.
