Shaving Line to Feature Popeye


King Features Syndicate has teamed up with Razor MD for a new line of shaving products featuring Popeye.

Product will begin rolling out March 31 with the launch of a special edition men’s shaving gift set. Featuring Popeye and his signature clean-shaven look, the three-piece set will include pre-shave oil, shave cream and post-shave lotion in a signature tin can.

The Popeye Shave Collection, including the special edition gift set, will be sold at select Nordstrom stores, barbershops and grooming lounges in North America, as well as on Nordstrom’s website.

Razor MD is also working on a line of women’s grooming products featuring Olive Oyl.

“Popeye’s timeless association with masculinity, his clean-shaven mug and his pop culture status makes him the perfect face for a custom shave line,” says David Golzman, domestic licensing manager, King Features. “Our partnership with Razor MD encompasses two brands that have a history of providing high-end, cutting-edge products, allowing us to creatively modernize Popeye as a symbol of today’s everyday man.”
