According to Variety, the special edition Meisterstück launch – featuring director Spike Lee’s distinctive glasses as a running motif in a deep purple, the director’s favorite color – is inspired by his long-standing connection with Brooklyn.

First introduced in 1924, the Meisterstück 146 fountain pen is at the heart of this limited-edition set – with handcrafted gold nib etched with Lee’s signature – and features a leather notebook with the same design and a special purple ink.

This new collaboration, which is limited to 500 pieces, is part of the “What Moves You, Makes You” campaign that celebrates the ability to make meaningful change.
