Korean footwear company SFS International has inked a deal to license European denim brand Lee Cooper in the EU (excluding France). The deal also includes in Switzerland, Turkey, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

“Lee Cooper is a well-known brand with British heritage that we believe we can add value to with an extensive footwear collection,” says Azad Ladha, head of U.K. operations, SFS. “Our experience and network gives us a huge head start on getting the collection to market.”

SFS will sell the new footwear line with other Lee Cooper clothing licensees, regional footwear specialists and online.

“We chose SFS International because they have great design and manufacture capabilities, and together with our global network, gives a great opportunity to grow the footwear business and add to our ever increasing apparel and lifestyle offer. We see footwear as a strategic and vital part of our brand,” says Andy Dunkley, global chief executive officer, Lee Cooper.

Lee Cooper was founded in London’s East End in 1908 is now sold in 90 countries and has a network of more than 45 licensees.
