"Aquaman" star Jason Momoa has launched two limited-edition vegan sneakers as part of his collaboration with climbing apparel brand So iLL, according to Vegan Food & Living.

Momoa and So iLL enlisted BLOOM's help to create the new sustainable kicks made from algae. The new eco-friendly kicks, dubbed the Unity Purple and Yaya Lavender Roamers, have launched as part of the iLL x On the Roam collection. They feature an organic cotton upper, a top layer of cork and biodegradable outsoles. The rubber outsoles have been mixed with Eco Pure, and made to help break down the material and cut down on decomposition time. The brand has used algae insoles instead of synthetic plastic foam.

"A new way to roam," Momoa announced on his Instagram page. "We're all in this together.

Momoa has been known to create products to help the earth, including creating a plastic-free water company called Mananalu and shaving off his trademark beard to help raise awareness of plastic pollution.

The shoe collection is available now at soillholds.com
