This season, Adidas Originals and the LEGO Group have collaborated with the ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ collection.

Bringing LEGO’s aesthetics to one of Adidas’ low-top silhouettes, the collection marks the next stage in their creative partnership, which the two inked in October of last year.

The new footwear collection includes six sneakers, each in one of the primary LEGO colors of red, green, yellow, blue, black and gray. With a construction based on the original ZX 8000 material composition, each pair in the Bricks series features a mesh upper matched with synthetic suede overlays, a ghillie lacing system, traditional Adidas 3-Stripes side treatments and a TPU heel counter that emulates the texture of LEGO bricks.

To promote the collection’s launch, a video follows the journey of the ZX 8000 silhouette as it is constructed piece by piece by LEGO minifigure engineers.

The Adidas Originals and LEGO Group ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ collection will be available May 7 in adult and junior sizes through adidas.com/LEGO and select retailers.
