Chip2Go Launches Global eSIM with Ronaldinho Gaúcho

Gaúcho has also been named Global Ambassador for the brand.

Telecommunications service, Chip2Go, has allied with football player Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Chip2Go, Fama and Assis Moreira Group have announced a global licensing and long-term partnership agreement with Ronaldinho Gaúcho, confirming his role as the brand ambassador, followed by licensed products and services. This alliance aims to transform Ronaldinho's Chip into a gateway for what Fama Licensing calls “unforgettable experiences for travelers and football fans worldwide.” 

"We are thrilled to have Ronaldinho Gaúcho as our ambassador," says Sérgio Estevam, chief executive officer, Chip2Go. "He is a global football icon. Ronaldinho aligns with our mission to connect everyone and bring unique digital transformation across continents. We believe this partnership will attract new audiences and strengthen our global market presence." 

The global travel chip will offer coverage in more than 190 countries.  

"This product will disrupt the communications market – a high-impact licensing deal," says Fabiano Veronezi, chief executive officer, Fama Licensing. 

This partnership heralds the launch of Ronaldinho's Chip, a personalized physical SIM card and an exclusive eSIM (virtual chip) for travelers, available in more than 140 countries, including the U.S., Spain, Italy, Franc, and Brazil. The product features high-speed internet access, roaming, international calls and SMS, along with exclusive football-related content. 

"I am very excited to join the Chip2Go team," says Ronaldinho Gaúcho. "I've always loved 

using technology to connect with my fans worldwide, and my global chip is the perfect tool for that. It's a great move for football fans who will stay connected and never miss any 

spontaneous moments." 

Roberto de Assis, Ronaldinho's brother and manager, is also optimistic about the partnership. 

"Ronaldinho's Chip will be a success,” says Roberto de Assis, manager to and brother of Gaúcho. “The product is of high quality and will offer personalized service using artificial intelligence, featuring Ronaldinho's voice and image, providing an incredible experience for our brand's fans." 

Ronaldinho's Chip will be launched on July 5.
