The Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. renewed its licensing agreement with Dairy Queen's Blizzard treat brand.

This summer, the ice cream chain will debut the Girl Scouts Tagalongs Peanut Butter Patties Blizzard in July. The Girl Scouts Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard will also return in August.

"We have a great relationship with Girl Scouts and are thrilled to be partnering with them again this year," says Michael Keller, chief brand officer for International Dairy Queen. "The Thin Mint Cookie Blizzard was amazingly successful and we expect the Tagalongs Peanut Butter Patties Blizzard to be a home run as well."

"This is big news for Girl Scouts,"  says Laurel Richie, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. "The Girl Scout cookie program always has focused on teaching girls valuable life skills, while providing insight about what it takes to make a business work. Our partnership with Dairy Queen presents a learning experience for our girls, strengthens our ties to local communities and creates two sweet treats people are sure to love."
