Taco Bell has decided to do away with its kids’ meal and toy offerings at its U.S. restaurants, becoming the first national quick service restaurant chain to do so.

Citing the fact that kids’ had had no real impact on sales, the QSR plans to focus instead on new menu options such as its Doritos Locos tacos.

Select restaurants will begin the removal in July, with nationwide implementation completed by January 2014. Kids’ meal menu items will remain on the regular menu.
