The beer brand is getting into licensing in the United States.

Ukonic has announced their partnership with Constellation Marketing Services to bring Modelo Especial and Modelo Negra merchandise to the U.S. market. The license connects Ukonic, a housewares and pop-culture merchandiser, with Modelo beer. Mini-fridges, hard-side and soft-side coolers, grilling accessories and LED bar signs featuring Modelo Especial and Modelo Negra will be manufactured through 2025. 

"It's an exciting opportunity to be working with Modelo,” says Martin Butler, chief executive officer and founder, Ukonic. "Our experience bringing custom designed mini-fridges and coolers is a natural fit for one of the top beverage brands in America.” 

"Our designers are excited to be tackling this new challenge” says Resh Sagoo, vice president, product development, Ukonic. “The bold black and gold styling of Modelo Negra in particular has inspired striking designs out of our team.” 

Merchandise is expected to be gracing store shelves starting in 2023.
