Knockout Licensing has signed the first licensing partners–Taste Beauty and Goffa International–for the Rita’s Italian Ice brand.

Knockout Secures First Rita’s Licensees

Italian ice brand expands into the cosmetics and plush categories with Taste Beauty and Goffa International.


First, Taste Beauty will create a line of scented and flavored cosmetics that will highlight the brand’s attributes of fun and happiness while showcasing its “cool treats” and range of flavors.

"Rita’s is a fast growing brand that combines fun and flavor in a way that really lends itself to our cosmetics for teens and tweens," says Alex Fogelson, managing partner, Taste Beauty. “We are excited to leverage their amazing flavors to develop an innovative and delicious collection of products!” 

Meanwhile, Goffa International has been tapped to develop a line of amusement plush based on the brand and its characters, such as Mr. Ice Guy.

“When Knockout was entrusted with responsibility for extending the famous Rita’s Italian Ice brand of ‘cool’ fun for the first time ever to a wide range of merchandise, these two categories–toys and cosmetics–were among the first our agency

decided to target,” says Carole Postal, president, Knockout Licensing. “The Rita’s licensing program is off to a great start with Goffa in plush and Taste Beauty in cosmetics, but that’s just a taste of what’s possible.”

Additionally, Knockout is working to bring the Rita’s Italian Ice brand to other categories, including candy and confections, food, beverages, drinkware, apparel, accessories, stationery, home furnishings, publishing and promotions.
