Licensing agency will extend the cheese and dairy company into new food categories.

Cabot Creamery Cooperative has appointed The Joester Loria Group to serve as its exclusive licensing agent in North America.

JLG will now build a licensed brand extension program for Cabot, which will include branded food extensions in categories such as beverages, desserts, entrees, frozen appetizers, sauces/dressings, shelf stable cheese snacks and more.

“We are so honored to be partnering with Cabot” says Joanne Loria, executive vice president and chief operating officer, JLG. “The opportunities to extend the brand are significant, and the fact that the results will also benefit all the working farm families who own the Cooperative makes it all the more important.”

Cabot Creamery, owned by 1,200 farm families located throughout New England and upstate New York, has been operating since 1919. The company offers a full line of cheeses in more than 93 flavors and varieties. It also offers 27 other dairy products including Greek style yogurt, sour cream and cottage cheese. Cabot’s products are sold nationwide at retailers including Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club and more.

“Cabot is committed to crafting quality products while taking a purpose-driven and community minded marketing approach to grow our farmers’ brand,” says Roberta MacDonald, senior vice president, marketing, Cabot Creamery. “With JLG’s experience in licensing food brands and the build-in equity of the Cabot brand, we are excited to introduce unique product extensions to our fans and customers.”
