A new “Garfield”-themed restaurant app experience that launched in Toronto, Canada last year is now using its resources to help with COVID-19 relief efforts and beyond.

“GarfieldEATS” is the world’s first “Garfield”-themed restaurant app. Users can watch, play and order at the same time and collect paws, a loyalty coin system, to unlock coupon offers and much more thanks to user experience and interface design. Farm2Plate lasagna, a “Garfield” shaped-pizza, “Garfield”-shaped dark chocolate bars and Garficcino flavored coffee are all on the menu to complete the “Garfield” experience.

Canada will be the second region to enjoy “GarfieldEATS” after success in Dubai, where it launched less than a year ago. The cashier-less restaurant is located in the heart of Toronto’s popular downtown. “GarfieldEATS” will be available for delivery and pick-up by ordering via the app on mobile phones.

“In 40 years, no one has ever come to me with a revolutionary concept like ‘GarfieldEATS,’” says Jim Davis, creator, “Garfield.” “It’s a well-thought‐out plan to deliver great food in a fun and engaging way using modern technology.”

With its newfound success, “GarfieldEATS” is using its resources to help the less fortunate during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

“‘GarfieldEATS’ appreciates our nurses and doctors working tirelessly to keep us alive,” says Nathen Mazri, founder, “GarfieldEATS.” “‘GarfieldEATS’ introduces permanently the ‘Liz Cares’ program for all healthcare professionals to be granted benefits such as free Garficcino, 50 percent off all farm2plate food and beverage items and even special Garfield and Liz merchandise. ‘GarfieldEATS’ has put into place a SOP - Safety Measures COVID-19 guidelines for employees and customers as we fight an invisible enemy. Even if takeout and delivery establishments are permitted to stay open, we strive to be the most empathetic and listening brand.”

“GarfieldEATS” is a partner of Youth Without Shelter, feeding hundreds of lasagnas weekly to the homeless. The app is still delivering food during this time. Those in the area of a “GarfieldEATS” location can download the app to order.
