Following the sell-through of the two previous “Game of Thrones”-inspired beers, HBO Global Licensing and Brewery Ommegang are letting fans decide the name and style of the fourth brew in the series. (The third will be released early next year.)

During a two-day online voting session, fans can choose between four options:

  • Valar Morghulis (Dubbel)–a Dubbel brew that was chosen to capture the sweetness of revenge for this option, based on the Old Valyrian saying “Valar Morghulis,” which is associated with the desire for vengeance;

  • Hand of the King (Quadrupel)–this ale draws inspiration from the responsibilities of running a kingdom, whether that be waging war, brokering peace or enduring a Small Council meeting;

  • Seven Kingdoms (Tripel)–this golden beer comes with a spicy character that represents the sordid events of the history of Westeros; or

  • Khal (Quadrupel)–the Dothraki people, like the Quad brew, are the strongest of the strong, making this beer a fitting tribute to the men that rule the Khalisars of Essos.

Online voting opened Tuesday and concludes today on the Game of Thrones Facebook page. The winning beer and the accompanying label artwork will be officially announced in the spring. The beer is set to be released in the fall.

Previous releases include the Iron Throne Blonde Ale and Take the Black Stout, with the third beer, Fire & Blood, due at the end of March.
