FremantleMedia Enterprises, the commercial and brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, has appointed two new executives in the EMEA region– Jayne Stephens as head of brand partnerships in the U.K. and Carl Lumbard in newly-created role of head of licensing strategy and business development, Kids & Family Entertainment, EMEA.
In his new role, Lumbard will be responsible for the commercial development of brands within the Kids & Family Entertainment portfolio across EMEA, including identifying timescales, key licensing categories, best-in-practice licensees and retailers.
Lumbard will be the link between the Los Angeles-based Kids & Family Entertainment content team and the licensing, home entertainment and television distribution teams across the EMEA region.
Lumbard brings more than 20 years of experience in international sales, marketing and licensing gained through managing globally recognized brands and retailers including The Simpsons, Family Guy, the Ice Age franchise, H&M, Marks & Spencer and the Pimkie/Orsay Group.
He joins FME from 20th Century Fox where he spent nearly 14 years, most recently as senior vice president and managing director of licensing and merchandising, EMEA.
As the new head of brand partnerships in the U.K., Stephens will be responsible for generating and maximizing revenues from brand and broadcast sponsors through the development of strategic off-air partnerships, product placement deals and ad-funded opportunities.
She will work to deliver new commercial, cross-platform opportunities for key FME properties including The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Take Me Out and Celebrity Juice.
Stephens previously held the role of sponsorship and content director at Starcom MediaVest Group, and has worked with leading brands including Blackberry, Samsung, Heineken and Honda.
