Wayne Cloth, a veteran in the brand licensing industry, has been named vice president of business development, Starwood Brands.

In his new role, Cloth will represent new licensee clients and facilitate new brand relationships for the company.

“When David [Gindi, principal, Starwood Brands] approached me, I jumped at the idea. I was looking for a new challenge,” says Cloth. “Our business is one of connecting licensees and licensors with opportunities that help each other grow, and it would be great for me to utilize the relationships that I’ve cultivated over the years.”

“Wayne brings decades of experience to our team, along with a deep understanding of the brand licensing industry,” says Gindi. “His extensive network, spanning both brands and wholesalers, supports Starwood’s plans for continued growth.”

Prior to Starwood Brands, cloth held the role of senior vice president, MagidNYC and was previously director, business development, EAI-JR286, working with Nike and Hurley. He has also been a director for Accessory Exchange, working with Crocs and K-Swiss.
