Mad Engine Appoints Three New Members to C-Suite
Mad Engine has named Angelina Yagudayev as chief merchandising officer, Christine Bettles as chief financial officer and Gina Cappi as chief creative officer.

Mad Engine, a licensed apparel and accessories company, has announced the appointment of three new members to its C-Suite. Angelina Yagudayev has been appointed chief merchandising officer, Christine Bettles as chief financial officer and Gina Cappi as chief creative officer.
Yagudayev has been promoted to chief marketing officer after serving as executive vice president of Mad Engine’s Canada Division. She joined the company over a decade ago to expand its sales in the Canadian market and quickly rose to lead the division overseeing sales, creative, production and operations. As chief marketing officer, Yagudayev will oversee the company’s sales operations in the U.S., Canada and other markets.
“Angelina is a powerhouse in the licensed apparel industry, excelling at identifying great brands and matching them with the right retail partner creating a win-win for our retailer and licensor partners,” says Danish Gajiani, chief executive officer, Mad Engine. “Just as importantly, she operates thoughtfully with intention and empathy, ensuring that the Mad Engine sales team will have the tools it needs to fuel growth well into the future.”
Bettles has been appointed as Mad Engine’s chief financial officer. She started her career at PwC before moving into the apparel industry, where she served as chief financial officer for several companies, including a competitor of Mad Engine.
“Christine’s extensive experience in finance, apparel and strategic planning will provide an invaluable asset to our organization as we continue to grow our current categories and evaluate expanding into new products and markets,” says Gajiani. “As an added bonus, she has deep industry experience with retailers and licensors and strong relationships with numerous Mad Engine team members, the company is ecstatic to bring her aboard.”
Cappi has been promoted to chief creative officer at Mad Engine. Previously senior vice president of the Kids Division, Cappi has been with the company for over a decade. She launched and grew the Girls Division into one of the company’s strongest categories, showcasing her expertise in securing great content and driving sales.
