Alberini will assume his new position as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Lucky Brand upon closing of the pending acquisition. He will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors of Restoration Hardware Holdings and remain a significant shareholder of the company.
The move represents a return to fashion for Alberini, who was formerly an executive at Guess.

Alberini will take the reins from current Lucky CEO David DeMattei, who will leave the company after the sale closes alongside chief creative officer Patrick Wade, according to
