2024 gave us a lot of fashion collaborations. From luxury to fast fashion, licensed fashion was on display all over the world. Here are License Global’s picks for some of the most exciting fashion licensing collaborations of the year.

Disney x lululemon Debut High-Performance Apparel

The Disney x lululemon 34-piece dual-gender collection launched in Nov. and offered a variety of products, including classic lululemon performance styles and casual favorites. Inspired by archival Disney graphics, the collection featureed modern, elevated takes on the imagery of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. From raw sketch images and silhouettes to the iconic “Mickey in Motion,” the graphics across the collection blend the magic of Disney with the performance of lululemon.

Pacsun’s NFL x Aleali May Limited-Edition Drop

In October, Pacsun announced the launch of a limited-edition collection with the NFL and Los Angeles native, fashion designer and creative director, Aleali May. This collection offers a take on NFL apparel, bringing together May’s fashion and the NFL’s heritage. Cotton T-shirts and hoodies were made to represent eight NFL teams and their cities, including the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

BoxLunch’s Exclusive ‘Beetlejuice’ Collection

BoxLunch’s “Beetlejuice” collection, launched in Aug., was created in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, features an exclusive assortment of apparel and accessories inspired by the 1988 film, “Beetlejuice,” timed to the sequel that launched in Sept. From apparel to accessories, the collection, which included T-shirts, hoodies, collectibles and décor, captures the essence of “Beetlejuice.”

Reebok and Juicy Couture Go Retro

In July, Reebok and Juicy Couture unveiled a limited-edition footwear and apparel collection. Reebok x Juicy Couture blends some of the most iconic fashion trends of the ‘90s, fusing Reebok's sports heritage style with the trendsetting fashion legacy of Juicy Couture. Reebok x Juicy Couture showcased five unique footwear silhouettes and eight apparel pieces, including special iterations of the classic leather SP Extra, BB 4000 Mid ll, classic slide as well as tracksuit, graphic tee and bodysuit offerings.

J.Crew Partnered with USA Swimming

In June, J.Crew announced it was collaborating with USA Swimming for a limited-edition collection and campaign for summer. The USA Swimming x J.Crew collection features apparel and accessories across women’s, men’s and kids’ categories, including classic crewneck T-shirts and sweatshirts, a swimsuit, windbreakers, bucket hats and baseball caps and limited-edition cashmere styles. The collection took inspiration from vintage swimming graphics and styling with a focus on ’90s beach apparel.

USA Swimming collection, J.Crew

Mango Teams Up with Victoria Beckham for Capsule Collection

Retailer, Mango and celebrity, Victoria Beckham, unveiled a capsule collection internationally in April. Victoria Beckham x Mango has been designed by Beckham and reflects the essence of the designer's eponymous label, highlighting classic British luxury with a subtle contemporary twist, as well as the shared values of both fashion brands, such as quality and femininity.

Louis Vuitton x Tyler, the Creator Release Men’s Collection

Louis Vuitton and musician, Tyler, the Creator, unveiled a spring 2024 men’s capsule collection in March, spotlighting the savoir-faire of Louis Vuitton through the creative lens of the American rapper and long-time friend and collaborator of musician and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director, Pharrell Williams. 

Givenchy Debuts ‘Frozen’ Kids Apparel

Givenchy released a global capsule collection for kids inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature film,” Frozen,” in celebration of the film’s 10th anniversary. Comprising seven pieces, the girls’ and boys’ apparel collection featured a curated selection of T-shirts, T-shirt dresses and dresses dedicated to the franchise. Boasting a mix of cool and warm color tones, the collection features reimagined characters and signature hues of black, white and pale blue from Givenchy and Disney’s “Frozen” palettes.
