Dim Mak, the fashion and record label run by DJ Steve Aoki, has announced its upcoming release, Dim Mak x "Dragon Ball Z" in partnership with anime studio Toei Animation.
The limited-edition apparel collaboration embodies the battles and camaraderie formed by the heroes and villains of the "Dragon Ball Z" series.
The Dim Mak x "Dragon Ball Z" collaboration features fan favorites from the anime, including Goku, Trunks, Vegeta, Frieza, Shenron and Buu. The collection showcases 19 T-shirts, hoodies and crews printed on tie-dyes and vibrant hues.
"'Dragon Ball Z' was my favorite show as a kid when there was very little Japanese representation in the States," says Aoki. "To be a Dragon Ball fan in the early '90s, you had to seek it out since it was not readily available on TV. I loved Goku, who demonstrated that tenacity, integrity and friendship would prevail. I have a huge statue of him in my recording studio! I also loved Vegeta, who showed that with guidance and love, transformation is possible. I would binge-watch the episodes, completely in awe of the sick fighting scenes and inter-dimensional travel."
The Dim Mak x "Dragon Ball Z" collection is available on DimMakCollection.com and the "NTWRK" app in limited quantities.
