Warner Bros. Entertainment has named Ana de Castro as senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

Warner Bros. Entertainment has named Ana de Castro as senior vice president and deputy general counsel.

de Castro has been with Warner Bros. for 18 years and will, in her new role, help to guide the legal function of the studio, focusing on franchise properties and commercial opportunities around the world, as well as on strategic initiatives to optimize the efficiency of the studio’s legal group. Most recently, de Castro served as senior vice president, business and legal affairs, Warner Bros. Consumer Products., a post she’s occupied since 2007.  

She will report to John Rogovin, executive vice president and general counsel, Warner Bros. Entertainment.

“Ana has a deep knowledge of the studio, extensive commercial experience, a strong background in intellectual property and licensing, excellent management skills and a first-rate legal mind,” says Rogovin. “She has provided invaluable legal and strategic counsel throughout her tenure, and we’re glad to have her joining our corporate team where we can further draw on her expertise.”
