Viacom International Media Networks Americas has made a trio of new appointments–Juan Acosta as chief operating officer (based in Miami), Federico Cuervo as senior vice president of entertainment brands (based in Buenos Aires) and Tiago Worcman as senior vice president of music brands (based in Sao Paolo).

“With these moves and with all brands now reporting directly to JC Acosta, we are combining content and commerce to maximize opportunities–strategically, operationally and creatively–to elevate our business and our brands in this dynamic media market,” says Pierluigi Gazzolo, president, VIMN Americas.

As COO, Acosta will be responsible for VIMN’s portfolio of brands including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Paramount Channel and Tr3 in Latin America, Canada and the U.S. Hispanic market. Acosta will focus on elevating the brands in alignment with rest of the business, while improving the return on investment in content and optimizing the brand portfolio. Acosta will also have financial oversight of the company’s entertainment portfolio and oversee the original production strategy and management for all brands.

As SVP of entertainment brands, Cuervo will be responsible for Comedy Central and the Paramount Channel in Latin America.

As SVP of music brands, Worcman will direct the content and creative strategy for VIMN's music brands at the pan-regional level, overseeing the development and production of MTV’s slate of original content and programming, as well as Tr3s for the U.S. Hispanic market and VH1 for Latin America.
